Terms of Service

1. Who we are and acceptance

Yohaanei is operated by Nilabh Ranjan, based in Bengaluru, India. By using Yohaanei, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses Yohaanei.

2. What Yohaanei is (and is not)

Yohaanei is an AI-assisted productivity and mental clarity tool. It is designed to help you sort your thoughts — not to replace professional care.

• → Not a medical service. Yohaanei is not a substitute for professional mental health support, therapy, or medical advice.
• → Not a crisis service. If you are in crisis, please contact a professional helpline immediately. In India: iCall 9152987821 or Vandrevala Foundation 1800-2662-345 (24/7, free). For emergencies, call 112.
• → AI limitations. Classifications are generated by AI and may occasionally be inaccurate. They are suggestions, not instructions.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• → Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service or its AI.
• → Submit content designed to manipulate, jailbreak, or exploit the AI models.
• → Use the service to generate content that is harmful, illegal, or designed to harm others.
• → Circumvent rate limits, security controls, or any protective measures.
• → Impersonate other individuals or provide false information.

We reserve the right to block access to users who abuse the service.

4. Your content

Everything you type into Yohaanei belongs to you. We do not claim any ownership or rights over your content. Your brain dump text is processed transiently by AI and is never stored in our systems (see our Privacy Policy).

5. Intellectual property

The Yohaanei name, logo, design system, prompts, and codebase are owned by Yohaanei. You may not reproduce or distribute them without written permission. The AI classification results generated for you are yours to use freely.

6. Usage limits and fair use

To keep Yohaanei available for everyone, we apply daily usage limits. Guest visitors have a lower limit; signed-in accounts have a higher limit; active Residence members have unlimited access. Limits are clearly communicated in the product. We reserve the right to adjust limits at any time to maintain service quality.

7. Referral programme

Yohaanei operates a referral programme that grants Residence access to both the person who refers and the person who joins. The following conditions apply:

• → Reward cap. Each account may earn referral rewards for a maximum of 3 successful referrals. Referrals beyond this cap do not extend Residence.
• → Activation required. A referral is only counted as successful once the referred person completes a genuine session (3 or more Un-Do List items, or 4 or more /talk turns). Signing up alone is not sufficient.
• → No gaming. Creating fake accounts to generate referral rewards is a violation of these terms and may result in removal of all rewards and account suspension.
• → Programme changes. We reserve the right to modify, pause, or discontinue the referral programme at any time. Rewards already earned will be honoured.

8. Subscriptions and payment

Yohaanei currently operates on a free-access model with optional paid plans. When paid plans are available, the following applies:

• → Payment processor. Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not store your card details — they are held securely by Stripe under PCI-DSS compliance.
• → Cancellation. You may cancel a subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• → Refunds. Refund requests within 7 days of a charge are granted without question. After 7 days, contact us and we will consider your situation.

9. Availability

We strive to keep Yohaanei running reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service unavailability.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

Yohaanei is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the AI classifications will always be accurate, complete, or suitable for your situation.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yohaanei and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the service in the 3 months preceding the claim (which, for a free service, is zero).

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to account holders and waitlist subscribers by email before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall first be resolved in good faith. If formal proceedings are necessary, they shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

For users in the European Economic Area, EU law — including the GDPR — applies to the processing of your personal data. Nothing in these terms limits rights you hold under applicable EU or UK law.
